After having been a journalist and public relations director in Orlando, Florida, Terri Blakeslee began a 35-year teaching career, first in North Carolina followed by Alachua County, Florida.
She says that she was born writing. Before she could even read, Terri would look at the pictures in her Little Golden Books and imagine her own narrations for the images she saw. Her favorite was Once Upon a Wintertime because she thought the girl “wore pretty dresses.”
Her file cabinet and later computer hard drives are full of stories and ideas for further development. Not only a fiction writer, she has designed and written curriculum for her many classrooms. Other than writing, she enjoys drawing, gardening, making jewelry, traveling with her husband, Bob, and playing with her pet dachshund, Bailey.
